Executive DirectorJack Dempsey is a lawyer and historian of distinction. Author of five books (sixth forthcoming in 2018) and numerous articles on history, culture, and law, he has served on the Michigan Historical Commission for 11 years (a 5-term elected President) and on the boards of nonprofits and institutions of higher learning. In October 2017 he was appointed by the Governor to the Michigan World War I Centennial Commission. Member at Dickinson Wright PLLC in Ann Arbor, he is a 40-year member of the bar. He is also an elected trustee in his hometown of Plymouth Township. Jack has been a member of the Board since 2007, and served as chairman from 2010-12.
Office AdministratorCheri also works as a Museum educator and Visitor Services assistant. She earned a Bachelor of Science in Education from Central Michigan University with a Child Development major, Language Arts minor, and a Preschool endorsement. She was in the education field for 27 years, primarily in Gaylord. She grew up in a military family and was a member of the VFW auxiliary for over 20 years.
